About Us

Women of Colour Business Professionals Inc.

Emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, fueled by women exploring creative pursuits and starting skill-based businesses. Wendy Moffatt, inspired by this creativity, founded a WhatsApp group called WOC Business Professionals in January 2021 to support women of colour in business. Starting with 11 women, the group expanded into a vibrant community of 60 members, leveraging social media to spotlight members and share resources. Annually, we host the WOC Business Expo and Vendor Pop-Up Shop, celebrating their journey and honoring outstanding women entrepreneurs. Officially incorporated in March 2024, the organization is led by Wendy Moffatt and Alicia McNeil. The journey from a small group to a registered organization showcases the power of women supporting each other.
